Responsibilities

  • Conduct incident investigations to determine root cause and corrective measures as well as respond to reports of identified hazards in the workplace.
  • Inspect work areas for potential hazards, improvement opportunities, and compliance to internal HSE standards.
  • Review and update HSE protocols, procedures, inspections records, and risk assessments to support ISO 14001 and 45001 standards.
  • Develop waste reduction programs to support landfill diversion goals and identify solutions to reduce water and energy usage.
  • Involvement with refining safety programs including Lockout/Tagout, Powered Industrial Trucks, Working at Heights, Hot Work, Hearing Conservation, Emergency Response, Contractor safety and more.
  • Working collaboratively with other disciplines to improve overall adherence to HSE programs.
  • Develop HSE best practices to support workplace safety and compliance.
  • Participate in daily meetings to share relevant HSE related topics of interest including best practices, lessons learned, hazards identified, etc.
