  • As an intern on the Total Rewards, HR Operations and Technology team, you will have the opportunity to learn and support a variety of projects in the functional areas of HR technology, operations, compensation, compliance, and benefits.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program
  • What We Prefer:
  • 3rd or 4th year of a Human Resources program
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task

Responsibilities

  • The internship will include rotations on each team that will consist of projects and responsibilities such as:
  • Exposure to our HR service delivery model, the HR Solutions Center, directing and answering
  • common Human Resources questions.
  • Working in our Human Capital Management (HCM) platform Workday to administer and maintain employee HR Data.
  • Compensation planning and processes, job description creation and review, and pay equity.
  • Providing benefits support to employees, performing routine audits and reviewing benefit change requests in Workday.
  • HR Compliance, including government-related reporting, I-9s, immigration activities and ADA accommodations and employment policies.
  • This position will require time split between the Kansas City, MO and Overland Park, KS offices.
  • Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.
  • What You’ll Do:
  • Performs a variety of tasks which may be specific to a particular functional area of activity such as preparing reports, tracking and evaluating results, coordinating program developments, answering the phone, receiving messages, transmitting information, making copies, editing documents, handling routine inquires and making appointments.
  • Participates in meetings and interfaces with various teams.
  • Assists management in analyzing various data.
  • Works on special projects and provides research as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
