Requirements

  • Current College level student pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality & professionalism of all aspects of job responsibilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Cooperative attitude with team-oriented disposition
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work extra hours as needed
  • This position will require a minimum of 20 hours per week and will be needed throughout the school year, whereas full time, 40 hours per week is expected over the summer
  • Individual must be able to work in Evansville, IN

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment including posting positions through the applicant tracking system, schedule interviews/coordinate travel for candidates, and conducting reference checks.
  • Assist with onboarding. (scheduling of drug testing and background checks)
  • Process and tracks progress of candidate background checks and communicates results as appropriate.
  • Conduct weekly new hire orientation, support new employees through the on-boarding process, including administration of tours.
  • Respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist with maintaining current organizational charts.
  • Perform miscellaneous office duties. (answering phones, ordering business cards, coordinating meetings, etc.)
  • Assist in Employment Reward & Recognition Programs.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all new hire paperwork.
  • Maintain employee filing.
  • Assist employees in completing their required Berry University courses.
  • Responsible for Human Resources projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining positive, professional relationships.
  • Participate and assist with career fairs.
  • Responsible for issuing badges and granting access to the facility.
  • Assist with administrative duties within the Human Resources Department.
