  • The Automotive Power Design Team in San Jose, CA is seeking a motivated, experienced IC Design Engineering Intern to help design the next generation of automotive power ICs. The Automotive Power team develops both high-current multiphase power ICs and highly integrated PMICs that are enabling cutting edge car technology such as self-driving, Automated Driver Assistance (ADAS) and more.  The position will involve block design and simulation (Cadence), layout supervision (Cadence) and performance verification in the lab.  The candidate will have the opportunity to learn in a friendly, collaborative setting with a small team of highly experienced engineers who are expert in analog design, power train design, mixed signal integration, circuit modelling, advanced mixed signal verification and more.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications :
  • BSEE; pursuing Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • Coursework and knowledge in Analog design and/or DC-DC converters
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pursuing or having achieved a MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • Previous design experience on power products (Buck, Boost, LDO)
  • Solid knowledge of building blocks such as op amps, bandgaps and comparators
  • Proficient in Cadence tools
  • Familiar with lab instruments and characterization
