What are the responsibilities of an Imaging Intern?
The responsibilities of an Imaging Intern include providing services to patients under the direct supervision of a registered tech, preparing and positioning patients accurately, implementing radiation protection and safety standards, preparing for and assisting in imaging procedures, administering contrast media and medications, and maintaining a clean and safe department.
What certifications are required for this position?
A BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date is required. An American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
What educational background is required for an Imaging Intern?
An Imaging Intern must have a high school diploma equivalency or be enrolled in an accredited program specific to the discipline.
