Description

  • This is an internship position for a student to support R&D projects related to: Impact of Inverter Based Resources on System Protection. Looking for a student who can work in the 2024 summer semester/quarter (May-August).

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required
  • 2 years of PhD studies (preferred)
  • Ideal Candidate:
  • Electrical engineering Ph.D student with emphasis on power systems
  • Strong experience with modeling and fault ride through behavior of inverter based resources
  • Strong experience with electromagnetic transients simulation tools (preferably PSCAD)
  • Strong programming skills (preferably Python and Matlab)
