Where is the internship located?
The internship is located at our headquarters in Durham, NC.
What software skills are required for this internship?
Proficiency in SolidWorks and basic CAD skills are a must, along with working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint.
What percentage of the internship will focus on design versus production?
The position will be roughly 25% design and 75% production.
Is experience with 3D printers preferred?
Yes, experience with 3D printer usage is preferred.
What kind of tools should the intern be familiar with?
The intern should have skills and experience with basic shop tools, including hand tools and bench-top power tools.
Will the intern participate in product development meetings?
Yes, the intern will be involved in product development meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Is there an expectation for the intern to conduct research?

What kind of presentations will the intern be expected to make?

The focus of this internship is to contribute to the hardware development function through design, creating CAD drawings, and supporting production efforts.

Yes, there will be shop experiences in prototyping "proof of concepts" parts as needed, utilizing 3D printing and other modeling methods.
