Responsibilities

  • Assist Industrial Engineers in developing and deploying efficient systems to integrate production associates, machines, material requirements, and information to achieve optimal manufacturing processes. Collaborate with Production Management and cross-functional support teams to identify manufacturing constraints and execute solutions accordingly. Assist Engineers and Production Management to plan work assignments based on production associate performance, machine capability, and production schedules. Knowledge of rules regarding alternative work schedules. Ability to create multi-process workstation layouts, standardized work, staffing and process maps to execute a successful rebalance of workstations as needed. Ability to prepare diagrams to illustrate workflow, product routing, floor layouts, material handling, and equipment utilization. Ability to collect statistical production cycle time studies, analyze data, and optimize process. Working knowledge of 5S principles, Work Measurement, JIT, Kanban, and Problem-Solving Methods.
