What is the duration of the industrial placement internship?
The duration of the internship is expected to be 4-5 months.
What educational background is required for this position?
Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or a related field. Recent graduates from an undergraduate program will also be considered.
Is prior experience in coatings and adhesives necessary for this role?
No, prior experience in coatings and adhesives is preferred but not necessary.

Who will the industrial placement student report to?
The student will report to the R&D Manager - Industrial Specialties.
Will there be mentorship available during the internship?
Yes, the intern will be mentored by other senior technical members in the R&D team.
Is any knowledge of colloid science and suspension rheology required?
While not required, an understanding of colloid science and suspension rheology is preferred.
What type of research activities will the intern be involved in?
The intern will perform research activities in evaluating and developing additives for industrial markets, including working with dispersants, coatings, and electronics.
Are safety tasks part of the internship responsibilities?
Yes, completing safety tasks related to the overall Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) in the R&D laboratories is required.
