  • The Information Security Risk & Controls Intern is responsible for working with the InfoSec team to assess, analyze, and manage information security risks within the organization. In addition, the selected Intern will work to enhance and streamline the current process and reporting status of all risk management related activities. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.
  • This position is part of the IT Information Security department and will be Remote. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.


  • The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Working towards a Bachelor of Sciences in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • High level understanding of security frameworks, standards, best practices (e.g. NIST, CIS, ISO 27001) and security assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Relevant information security industry knowledge is a plus.
