What is the duration of the internship?
The internship will start in May/June 2025 and end in August 2025.
What are the required working hours for the internship?
Interns are expected to work 40 hours a week.

Yes, the internship is paid, with compensation for graduate students set at $21 per hour.
Are interns required to be on-site?
AARP has a hybrid work environment, observing remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Interns will be expected to be in the office on other weekdays.
What is the minimum educational requirement for this internship?
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate-level program related to math, statistics, scientific computing, data and analytics, business analytics, marketing, or a related field.
Will AARP sponsor an employment visa for interns?
No, AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.
What skills or experience are preferred for applicants?
Ideal candidates should have advanced problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, experience with coding practices and languages (such as Java, C/C++, Python), and be advanced users of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
What kind of projects will interns work on?
Interns will support IT-related projects, involving data analysis, cleaning datasets, machine learning model development, and completing an end-of-internship project to present to IT leadership.
Are there any other specific requirements for candidates?
Candidates must demonstrate regular and reliable job attendance, respect and understanding of others for maintaining professional relationships, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid open office environment with moderate noise.
