What degrees are eligible for the Information & Technology Undergraduate Internship?
Candidates must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, System Administration, or Information Engineering Technology, or an equivalent field.
Is there a minimum GPA requirement for this internship?
Yes, all candidates must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for consideration.
How many credit hours do I need to be enrolled in to qualify for this internship?
Candidates must be enrolled in and successfully complete a minimum of 12 undergraduate credit hours per semester.
What types of roles are available in this internship?
Opportunities include Project Management, Networking, Telecommunications, Software Development, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, IT Customer Service, and other related IT roles.
Will I need to report on-site for this position?
Yes, this position will be onsite in Los Alamos, NM, with occasional teleworking allowed from a location within a 2-hour ground commute of the lab. Reporting onsite will be periodically required.

Is there a drug testing policy for this internship?
Yes, selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.

Are there any desired qualifications for this internship?
Desired qualifications include proven customer service experience, knowledge in data analytics, experience administrating Linux, Windows, or Mac systems, and any relevant PMP or Scrum certifications.
