What is the primary role of the Instrumentation Intern at ExxonMobil?
The primary role is to work alongside experienced employees, assisting in the dismantling, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of instrumentation equipment while receiving training in the industrial instrumentation field.
What are the minimum requirements to apply for the Instrumentation Intern position?
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an Instrumentation degree program or have obtained an Associate of Applied Science Instrumentation Technology Degree, have completed at least 15 hours of required coursework, and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
What is the work schedule for the internship?
Interns will work a 4-10 schedule, with early release on days they are scheduled for classes if currently enrolled.

No, the internship does not include travel expense reimbursement or relocation support.

As an intern, you will not be afforded company benefits. If converted from intern to employee, company benefits will be offered.

The intern will work in a variety of environments that include both fieldwork and deskwork, which may involve high temperatures, high humidity, and require wearing personal protective equipment.
Is there a physical requirement for the internship position?
Yes, interns must be physically able to ascend and descend barrel ladders and stairs, climb heights of over 150 feet, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
What skills are preferred for Instrumentation Intern candidates?
Preferred candidates will have basic knowledge of PLCs, experience in instrumentation installation, and the ability to troubleshoot using test equipment and read electrical drawings and schematics.
