Requirements

  • Must be entering senior year of Bachelor’s program or second year of Master’s program, with a graduation date of December 2024 or later

Responsibilities

  • Work with National Sales Coordinator to monitor existing advertising schedules and provide weekly delivery analysis
  • Work with National Sales Representative to prepare media schedules and presentations to reach a company's target audience
  • Work with Account Executive to create a sports marketing strategy for a brand
  • Shadow each person in the office (Sales Manager, Business Development, Account Executives, Client Service Representatives, and Client Service Coordinators) to see the complete process of a sale
  • Learn how to contact an advertising agency to facilitate contract and traffic issues, such as copy delivery, receipt of contracts, and fulfillment of payment invoices
  • Learn to research prospective advertisers (using the internet, industry trade magazines, and competitive network information) to determine feasibility of utilizing Home Team Sports to reach target geographic, demographic, and psychographic audiences
  • Attend bi-weekly office sales meetings and individual account team meetings
  • Learn effective phone coverage for a highly functioning sales office
  • Learn effective organizational skills: prioritize tasks and communicate progress towards completion
  • Attend all internship events and participate in projects and assignments
  • All other duties as assigned
