What is the duration of the Internship Program?
The Internship Program lasts for 10 weeks, running from mid-June 2025 through mid-August 2025.
What are the eligibility requirements for the internship?
You must be a current college/university student who has completed Sophomore or Junior year by June 2025 or a current graduate student, be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment, and be available for the specified internship dates.
Is there a specific time frame for applying to the internship?
Yes, applications are currently being accepted and the hiring process will begin from late October to late December 2024.
What kind of skills or qualifications are preferred for candidates applying for this position?
Candidates should possess advanced computer skills, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), exceptional organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and maintain a professional demeanor. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
Will the intern be involved in any networking opportunities during the program?
Yes, interns will have the opportunity to build relationships throughout the organization through Leadership-led Coffee Chats and Networking Events.
What is the pay rate for this internship position?
The hourly pay rate for this internship position is $20.42, and rates will increase in accordance with the San Diego Living Wage Ordinance.
Are there any physical requirements for the internship?
Yes, interns must be able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events and be able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds.
What kind of tasks will the intern be responsible for?
Interns will assist with vendor maintenance, invoice processing, revenue reporting, jersey inventory control, and other clerical and accounting tasks as assigned.
Is there any requirement related to background checks for this internship?
Yes, as a condition of employment, candidates must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including a background check.
