Requirements

  • 18 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must be an undergraduate enrolled at an accredited college or university who is in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • Must be able to arrange and pay for own housing and transportation during internship.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.

Responsibilities

  • Learns the operational workings of the assigned department by observing Team Members, participating in meetings, asking questions, and evaluating services.
  • Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure the organization’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.
  • Assists the department management with assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, division, and organization.
  • Provides a service or assistance to meet the needs of a guest, client, or customer consistent with the Company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by department management.
  • Collaborates with Interns from other departments to organize, complete, and present group projects.
  • Attends and participates in classes offered by the Venetian Academy.
  • Volunteers in events organized by the Venetian Love for All program to provide support to local organizations in the community.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Responsible to partner with a CCM for the planning, event execution and post execution activities for all assigned group.
  • Adhere to the standards in communicating all details of agreed functions to client and the internal team involved with servicing the events.
  • Maintain a high presence/ high touch rate on the floor to ensure that his/her groups receive the highest quality experience.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by Senior Management
