  • Qualifications We Require:
  • You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
  • Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Qualifications We Desire:
  • Experience with a wide variety of usability methods, including observational studies, user interviews, surveys, heuristic evaluations, usability testing etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working in development teams using agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of visual design principles, information architecture, and style guides/template creation
  • Understand and have practical experience with web-based software application development methodologies, trends, and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct user research to improve usability and efficiency of web, desktop, and mobile applications
  • Apply user centered design methodology to develop usable software products
  • Translate user research findings into design recommendations
  • Create wireframes and prototypes to communicate design ideas
  • Collaborate with user interface designers and developers to create high quality software products
  • Serve as an advocate for end users
