What are the primary responsibilities of the Intern (Construction Materials)?
The primary responsibilities include conducting field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates, performing sampling or testing as directed, assisting other field and laboratory personnel, transporting equipment and specimens, cleaning equipment and work areas, and providing assistance on routine tasks.
What qualifications are required for this internship?
A high school diploma is required along with a BS degree in progress in a science or related field, such as environmental science, safety, engineering, chemistry, biology, or geology. The ideal candidate should have less than one year remaining to complete their BS degree.
Is prior experience required for this position?
No prior experience is required, but the candidate should ideally have relevant coursework or experience in the specified fields.
What type of training will the intern receive?
The intern will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in their work assignments.
