Requirements

  • Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering (or similar major), and returning to school upon completion of the assignment.
  • Preferred Additional Skills:
  • 3.2 GPA or above
  • Junior standing or above
  • Solid academic track record of accomplishment
  • Leadership & teamwork skills
  • Hands-on mechanical experience
  • Experience with CAD software tools

Responsibilities

  • Projects may include supporting design areas such as mechanical design and CAD modeling.
  • Tasks will likely involve assisting with the development of engineering designs that are used on solid rocket motor and liquid rocket engine applications, including conceptual design support, part selection research, computer aided design (CAD) and technical presentation support. Potential for hands-on experience with engineering hardware integration and test exposure, and computer aided design software tools used to create 3D models.
