Requirements

  • Must have Event Planning and/or fundraising experience. Can be volunteer work.
  • Must be comfortable with Vendor outreach (phone calls & emails to vendors & donors.
  • Must have excellent written and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong leadership experience.
  • Ability to work professionally in corporate and non-profit environments.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
  • Basic knowledge of Canva.
  • Required Equipment: Reliable WiFi Connection
  • 25 hrs/week availability, M-F between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising activities, logistics, and administrative support for the Richmond, VA market.
  • Work with Event Coordinators, Development Directors, and Market Leadership to support fundraising campaigns Go Red Luncheon, Heart Month, and Heart Ball.
  • Assist with pre-campaign planning, day of event execution, and post-campaign wrap-up projects.
  • Complete external calls and emails to donors, volunteers, and 3rd party vendors.
  • Work within event support systems such as Luminate and Tableau to help handle data entry and run reports.
  • Develop and update marketing materials for campaigns including save the dates, invitations, social media posts, volunteer rosters, and other needed collateral to assist in campaign promotion.
  • Assist with volunteer management including prepping for and attending externally facing meetings (both in-person and virtual.
  • Conduct prospect research to generate new leads and compile information for fundraising campaigns.
