Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineer (Bachelors/Masters)
  • Experience with 3D modelling software like Catia/Solidworks/Creo/NX
  • Mechanical design experience
  • Ability to apply GD&T, create drawings, and design for manufacturability/assembly (DFM, DFA, DFX)
  • Experience with Ansys or similar finite element analysis tools
  • Experience designing castings/injection molded components
  • Working knowledge of oil pump, heat exchangers
  • Working knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics
  • Hands-on experience creating prototype models and prototypes through individual projects
  • Field(s) of study: Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program at an accredited university
  • Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical parts, fixture, and testing equipment for the motor gearbox by using established best practice principles.
  • Conduct industry research to understand cutting-edge trends - integrate and improve on relevant concepts into our designs.
  • Coordinate design, prototyping, testing of components, and the documentation of those activities.
  • Partner with colleagues in analysis, prototype, test, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, vehicle attributes, and other teams to solve challenges.
  • Lead failure analyses and experiments to propose design revisions and solutions.
