A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required, plus enrollment in a related undergraduate or graduate program.
What majors are preferred for candidates applying for this internship?
We prefer candidates pursuing a major in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Environmental Resource Management, Wildlife Biology, Fishery or Forestry, Ecology, Geology, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
What type of work will I be involved in during this internship?
Interns will assist in a variety of office and field tasks including environmental permitting, wetland delineation, construction monitoring, preparing reports, and data analysis.
Will I receive mentorship during the internship?
Yes, candidates will have access to mentorship and professional development opportunities throughout the internship.
Is prior experience with GIS mapping required for this position?
While prior training and/or experience with GIS mapping and data analysis is preferred, it is not explicitly required.
