Requirements

  • Renting a vehicle through our company rental program, which has a minimum age requirement of 21
  • Driving on a regular basis, therefore, passing a motor vehicle record background check.
  • Maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Passing a criminal background check.
  • Qualifications:
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Spoken and written fluency in English.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet software, and databases preferred.
  • Other relevant work experience a plus.
  • Education/Skills:
  • Qualified candidate should be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science or civil/environmental engineering program.
  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus.
  • Physical Demands:
  • Heavy lifting of field sampling and other equipment will be required.
  • Must meet physical demands of hazardous waste site work.

Responsibilities

  • The intern will work full-time during the summer and will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of areas in environmental consulting, including contaminated site assessment and remediation, natural resource management, emergency and disaster response, Brownfield redevelopment, environmental compliance, and waste management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Records review.
  • Data management and organization.
  • Data analysis.
  • Report writing and compilation.
  • Opportunities for field work support such as environmental site assessments, multi-media sampling, and facility audits and inspections are also provided.
