  • Qualifications We Require:
  • You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
  • Earned bachelor's degree
  • Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited related graduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Note: If you have not yet started your graduate program, please apply to an undergraduate intern position.
  • Qualifications We Desire:
  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree program in Architecture, Planning, Engineering, Business or other field related to project development
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to develop technical ideas and results and present them in oral and written form.
  • Demonstrated abilities to work independently and to succeed as a member of a team.
  • Project support in design, project planning, scheduling, and financial reports
  • Exposure to preparation and maintenance of project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Broad understanding Facilities activities
  • Possess a strong dedication to positive teaming dynamic, strong written and verbal skills, detail oriented with a keen focus on customer service

Responsibilities

  • Engage in the development analyses, studies, projections, and strategies for facilities and site infrastructure improvements.
  • Assist in coordinating strategy development with strategic partners in leasing, specific Program areas, and the operational strategy for the Infrastructure Operations Division.
  • Communicate with peers, management, engineers, architects, to understand the funding sponsors and financial personnel on customers’ facility and/or infrastructure needs, timelines, and expected costs.
  • Gain exposure to track information and complete requirements in corporate and NNSA databases used to manage facility assets including real estate actions.
  • Help steward Sandia’s technology systems and data analytics approach used for Facilities and Infrastructure performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Perform structured problem solving, assurance management, process design, and information management functions for various stakeholders within the Facilities and Infrastructure functions.
