Requirements

Experience using large data sets, along with analytical scripting and visualization platforms to produce actionable insights for clients
An interest in data analytics, finance, accounting, and consulting
Eligible students should be in the 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5-year program
A willingness to learn, or familiarity with, tools for work across data management, visualization, and analytics, including:
Alteryx, SQL, Azure, etc.
Excel, PowerPivot, PowerQuery, VBA, etc.
Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Python, R, etc.
Experience with data science and machine learning algorithms
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong project management skills
Flexibility to work as both a team member and as an individual contributor
Ability to thrive and be effective in fast-paced settings
Ability to travel

Responsibilities

Assist with core transaction analytics, helping to identify key financial performance and operating trends as well as insights thru applied data analytics.
Analyze underlying financial statement performance drivers via key transactional and operational data. Clean, transform, and model data into meaningful information used to drive discussions with target management through observations to insights and conclusions.
Assess the quality of the target company’s financial and operational datasets.
After an investigative analysis, assist in the construction of deal-oriented reports and dashboards for clients that highlight the key findings and the drivers behind maintainable profits and cash flows.
Participate in meetings and conference calls with target company management and with client personnel.
