Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Material Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, C# or similar programming languages and tools used for signal analysis.
  • Familiarity with AI for engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

  • Characterize the photoresist profile used in microlens arrays on semiconductor substrates using multiple 1-dimensional scans. Write software to reconstruct these profiles.
  • Analyze the profile of etched lenses using confocal microscopy to ensure precision in lens shaping and functionality.
  • Upload and manage data sets related to photoresist and lens profiles in designated databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Assist in the development of computational tools and algorithms for analyzing photoluminescence maps, identifying significant variations in PL intensity.
  • Explore the application of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) using platforms such as TensorFlow or PyTorch to enhance pattern recognition in photoluminescence maps.
  • Participate in additional project work, potentially involving advanced AI techniques for data analysis, depending on the progress of primary tasks and the intern's expertise.
