Responsibilities

  • Primary duty is to support the sub product desk heads across Fixed Income, Equities, Cross-Asset & Prime Services. Rotate around various products, garnering an understanding of the entire workflow front to back; from relationship lifecycle; prospecting, rate sheets, a/c opening, execution & settlement, KYC refresh etc. Progressing to understand execution coverage of clients, whilst undertaking project work to support the business. Additionally, the intern will assist in analyzing data, preparing reports, and participating in team meetings, while actively contributing to collaborative projects that enhance operational efficiency and client engagement.
  • Rotate with operations to understand trade capture, confirmation process, matching and settlement of trades - Trade Life Cycle understanding.
  • Project involvement & task ownership – optimizing processes.
  • Rotate & build relationships with internal stakeholders across Middle and Back office functions; Onboarding, Compliance, Regulatory Ops, Credit, Risk & Settlements. Front office across regional offices and Products.
  • Foster an understanding of both agency & risk order flow in both Equities and Fixed Income.
  • Attend client meetings to understand the nuances surrounding real-time institutional account coverage across products and asset classes.
  • Familiarize with supporting trade & booking systems across Securities; IRESS, TOMS, TAM, SPIRE, CUST-X, Salesforce, IPREO.
  • Assist in providing runs & commentary in both Equity, Fixed Income & Cross-asset.
  • Detailed understanding of other product lines within the entity & the importance of cross-selling initiatives.
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
