Requirements

  • Must Have:
  • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate program (US Based College or University) graduating no earlier than December 2024.
  • Candidate must be a rising junior or rising senior.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.7.
  • Must be available to start on internship cohort start date (June 5, 2023) and complete a ten week program.
  • Previous work/volunteer experience or relevant coursework in identified area(s) of interest.
  • Can work in the US without employment sponsorship.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, theories, concepts and development technologies or modalities, practical experience and application of training development models.
  • Ability to meet aggressive timelines for deliverables, with accuracy, quality and attention to detail.
  • Organized with strong ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Clear and concise verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (extensive PowerPoint experience) and Google tools.
  • Nice to Have:
  • Previous experience working with customer experience or customer service.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, theories, concepts and development technologies or modalities, practical experience and application of training development models.
  • Familiarity with video production: Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Familiarity with gamification.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
  • Familiarity with eLearning software (Articulate Storyline preferred).
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and work on a full project life cycle.
  • Interns will apply Instructional Design process and theory to develop learning solutions that are implemented and impactful.
  • The internship will be remote.
  • Interns will work full-time 40 hours per week during the 10-week program.
  • Be adaptive, innovative thinker, with a demonstrated comfort with ambiguity.
  • Write or update lessons that utilize technology to achieve learning objectives.
  • Use of project management tools: ClickUp, Jira.
  • Embrace new ways to deliver learning experiences and think outside the box and work with our global training team.
  • Areas of focus will depend on experience, skill, and desire to grow in one or both of these.
  • Media/Visual:
  • Create learning solutions use one or all of the following: graphic design, video creation, gaming, coding, web development.
  • Assist with L&D standardization and quality through templates, branding and multimedia projects (eLearning/simulations/graphics/video/audio). Enhance the Learning Management System for SquareTrade: visual appeal and advancements.
  • Content Development/Technical Writing:
  • Conduct research and assess using a variety of methods to analyze performance gaps.
  • Create instructor-led, eLearning, or other modalities to address gaps.
  • Quality assurance of knowledge base articles and resources.
