Requirements

  • Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other related major and be returning to school upon completion of the assignment.
  • Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Rising Junior status or higher
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Software applications
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter and have the ability to work with little direction
  • Solid academic track record of accomplishment
  • Leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing engineering in the troubleshooting of complex operations involved in the manufacture of insulation components, insulated rocket motor cases, composite rocket motor components, and rocket motor assembly operation.
  • Originate, prepare, and maintain detailed planning (Standard Operating Procedures) for the manufacture of rocket warhead components. Perform hands-on pilot operations for manufacture of new inert or energetic components, and development program components and assemblies. Accurately report problems, solutions, and results in concise written and oral communications.
