Requirements

  • Currently conducting PhD level research in computer architecture, computer systems, compilers, or a related field
  • Knowledgeable in memory/storage architectures, cache systems, and modern accelerator architectures
  • Familiarity with near-memory computing and popular programming models (e.g., OpenCL, CUDA), parallel computing, and compiler internals is a plus
  • Understanding of compute and memory requirements of modern AI/ML applications like LLMs
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python is preferred
  • Good communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Project: Identify performance challenges of the existing compute/memory technologies, programming models, and proposing, implementing, and evaluating solutions to improve the end-to-end performance of memory-bound workloads.
  • Skills You’ll Learn:
  • Identify memory bottleneck in modern AI accelerators
  • Propose novel architectures or algorithms to address performance challenges found on state-of-the-art memory systems
  • Design experiments to validate your ideas, using simulators and other related tools
  • Collaborate with Team of experts in memory system to produce comprehensive solution
