Off-cycle Internship



  • This project will gather learnings to support the scaling-up of electric cooking across Nepal, prove viability to replicate this work at a national level with carbon credit buyers, reduce the barriers for companies to enter Nepal, and position Nepal to potentially be the first developing country globally to achieve 100% decarbonized cooking through the mass adoption of ECs. Project learnings will also be disseminated throughout the region, where ECs can scale up.  
  • The Nepal project is seeking a dynamic and versatile Intern who will work closely with the Director, Nepal project to support the project strategy, implementation, and management in Nepal. ​ 


  • ​​Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (ongoing) in environment, energy, climate, international development or related field required
  • ​Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • ​Attention to details and strong organizational skills
  • ​Demonstrated ability to function as a team player with people, internally and externally, from various types of organizations, cultural backgrounds, and areas of expertise
  • ​A high degree of internal motivation and the ability to ‘self-start’ and work professionally,
  • ​Ability to manage and advance multiple tasks and responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Participate in the project implementation strategy and model development
  • ​Support in the development and management of research being conducted in the target area
  • Support day-to-day project management and logistics
  • ​Work with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team to ensure effective project monitoring and conduct data analysis
  • ​Assist in drafting and completing required presentations, reports, and other documentation as needed
  • ​Design and organize activities (e.g., workshops, trainings, webinars) for various stakeholders regarding the project
  • ​Other duties as assigned. ​
