Requirements

  • Qualifications We Require:
  • You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
  • Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
  • Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Qualifications We Desire:
  • Pursuing a chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science degree.
  • Previous lab experience in an academic, national laboratory, or industrial setting.
  • Completed one or more semesters of organic chemistry.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and test samples with a variety of analytical techniques, including chemical (NMR, FTIR, etc.) and materials (Instron, DSC, etc.).
  • Analyze data and report/record results.
  • Communicate results/observations to a small team of staff/technologists
  • Maintain department material quality through tracking and documentation.
  • Aid in other lab and process development activities as assigned.
