Description

  • The Private Equity Group has approximately CAD$37bn of net AUM, which represents 15% of PSP’s total investment portfolio. We partner with the top PE investors in the world both via fund commitments as well as co-investments directly in companies. We invest globally across a variety of sectors and have a team of over 40 professionals in MontrĂ©al, London, and Hong Kong. Our aim is to be the investment partner of choice for private equity funds, other long-term investment institutions, founders and management teams.  

Requirements

  • Excellent academic credentials (1st Class / strong 2:1 or equivalent); an economics or scientific degree is preferred, but other degrees will also be considered
  • Master's degree (or in progress) strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in private equity, investment banking (M&A/leverage finance) or consulting is preferred, but other corporate internships in the strategy and M&A team will be also considered
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint) as well as external databases (CapIQ/FactSet/Bloomberg)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance and key accounting principles
  • Proactive attitude and sense of initiative
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in international teams
  • Knowledge of foreign languages and international experience will be considered an asset
