Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or other related field.
  • Advanced or intermediate Excel skills
  • Effective communications skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Team player and fast learner
  • Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum
  • Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
  • Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position.  No support to obtain the right to work will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • As an Intern, Private Investment Risk, you’ll:
  • Perform rating reviews of existing investments to ensure that internal ratings reflect the current credit profile of each investment
  • Assist with the monitoring of limits and risk controls in place for PSP’s investments
  • Monitor market news with respect to PSP’s private market investments as well as the broader institutional investment world
  • Participate in various ad-hoc projects and tasks
