  • At SoFi, you’ll join an experienced Product Marketing team and will focus on driving growth and innovation for SoFi’s members and lending business lines. You’ll be conducting competitive and user research, drive channel, creative and UX strategy, and experiment frequently on landing pages and within the SoFi app. 
  • This isn’t an ordinary internship — you’ll own campaigns that will drive significant impact to SoFi’s bottom line and collaborate with experts across web marketing, performance marketing, product, finance, and data science.
  • Attention to detail and an eye for quality are critical to your success, along with an ability to develop our product's value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our members' problems. You are analytical and user-centric, able to dig into drop-offs within a marketing funnel, hypothesize a consumer pain point, and validate it through experimentation. You have a desire to fail fast to learn, iterate and improve faster. Excellent organizational skills are required to effectively collaborate cross functionally, build processes, consistently monitor KPIs, and disseminate insights broadly. 


  • Enrolled in an accredited US-based university (working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in marketing, communications, business, advertising or a related discipline with an expected graduation date of Spring 2024
  • Have no more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience (excluding internships and research assistant roles)
  • Must be willing to relocate to San Francisco Bay Area and be available to work in the San Francisco HQ office
  • Must be attending a US-based university for positions in the USAble to obtain work authorization in the US in 2024
  • Previous intern or work experience related to above majors
  • Ability to combine analytical aptitude with creative intuition.
  • Highly organized, with a great work ethic and proactive, self-starter mindset.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Excel/Sheets preferred
  • Aptitude for learning processes, software, and tools quickly.

Area of Responsibilities



  • Expand Student Referrals — Conduct UX research, analyze competitors, and develop campaign strategy with lifecycle marketing and growth product teams.
  • SoFi App Marketing Experimentation — Define target audience, research appeal of a variety of value propositions, drive strategy for upselling consumer loan products within the SoFi app, work alongside UX and Product to experiment.
  • Landing Page Strategy — Conduct competitive/UX research and own A/B testing strategy for value propositions and UX design for a variety of high-traffic web pages.
  • Support budget management and centralize Standard Operating Procedures / Marketing Claim documentation across the marketing organization
