Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, biotechnology, business, or related field.
  • Must be at least a Sophomore in college at the time of our application.
  • Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Prior internship, work, or volunteer/extracurricular experience
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Experience planning and scheduling interdependent activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Available to work full-time during the summer months (May-August)
  • Proactive and solution-driven mindset
  • Strong sense of accountability and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible and willing to support a variety of tasks for the program management team.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about the basics of project/program management through a combination of live and online training
  • Partner with PM CoE leadership to define 60-90 day workstream plans, create a detailed timeline of activities and track deliverables that contribute to department objectives
  • Collect input from functional Program and Portfolio Managers to guide the development of plans and deliverables
  • Observe experienced Program Managers in management of core team meetings for gene therapy products in pre-clinical and clinical stages of development
  • Learn how cross-functional teams are structured and managed to achieve project goals
  • Participate in the creation of processes and infrastructure for the PM CoE (Best Practice toolkits, SOP’s, PPT presentations, Smartsheet templates/views, templates, operational calendar, etc.)
  • Assist with development of customized portfolio views of AskBio products
  • Provide logistical and operational support for team meetings and workshops
  • Support enhancement and harmonization of existing SharePoint structure and sites
  • Support operational initiatives within PM CoE, such as resource planning and management
  • Support PM CoE with operational activities relevant to their scope, such as workshop planning, meeting coordination, and meeting minutes
  • Present results of individual collaborative project at the end of the term
