Requirements

  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree and have a strong interest in bioinformatics.
  • Currently in Junior year or Senior year with completed coursework in statistical analysis, molecular biology and computer programming is required.
  • Experience with AI tools is a plus.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with cross-functional teams to learn about Maravai products and its business units.
  • Create a searchable list or database of historical sequences with relevant manufacturing data.
  • Assess available tools including AI to analyze sequences to identify themes and commonalities in challenging sequences to manufacture at DNA and mRNA steps.
  • Develop proof of concept algorithm to categorize new sequences according to predicted manufacturing outcomes.
  • Prepare and present a project overview with results to R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing and other company leadership.
