Yes, interns will have the opportunity to cover live sports events such as MLB games, NBA and NHL practices, and press conferences.
Is experience in sports writing required?
Yes, we are looking for candidates with experience at a college newspaper or website, along with a passion for sports writing.
What is the pay range for the internship?
The pay for this internship is $16.50 per hour.
What skills are important for this internship?
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a deep knowledge of all sports, especially New York teams, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment are important for this role.
Will interns be required to write stories?
Yes, interns will be expected to write, produce, and edit stories for both digital and print publications.
