Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
  • Must be a college, rising senior during the time of the internship program
  • Working knowledge of the following programming skills: Python, SQL
  • Fundamental knowledge of databases (e.g MySQL, Postgres), distributed frameworks (e.e MapReduce, Spark) and reporting tools (e.g Tableau)
  • Course work or independent projects demonstrating knowledge on machine learning algorithms and statistical models to develop descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive analytics
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally with excellent organizational skills
  • The ability to laugh at yourself
  • A commitment to doing things differently and making the world a little bit better
  • Ambition without ego
  • A spirit animal is not required but highly recommended
  • Ability to work in Chicago in a full-time capacity for 10 weeks, beginning in June of 2024

Responsibilities

  • Support analysis of the current operating environment to benchmark with company objectives to identify success or gaps
  • Explore data from multiple disparate data sources and develop quality metrics
  • Develop efficient data pipelines to support data driven decisions at speed
  • Perform data analytics to develop insights and trends
  • Apply machine learning algorithms to generate predictive analytics on data
  • Develop and nurture deep relationships with all functional teams and external stakeholders to ‘understand their reality’ and identify opportunities to adjust course and unlock value
  • Identify areas of hidden value, provide a mechanism for growth, or help craft programs that establish competitive advantage
  • Develop and grow the technology plan and support initiatives that provide clarity across the organization and to investor
  • Communicate analyses to key stakeholders within LivCor so that informed, key strategic decisions may be made
