Description
- We’re looking for a driven, organised and music-loving individual to join a busy, exciting, and creative team at intern level.
- The role provides support to the International Marketing department at Universal Music UK. The frontline International Department represents all of UMG’s UK labels – Polydor, Island, EMI, Decca, 0207 Def Jam, 3Beat, Method, and all their UK signed artists.
- This position would be assisting international campaigns across Island, Polydor and 0207 Def Jam projects.
- It is a fast-paced environment and we’re looking for a candidate who can adapt to that whilst also having an interest in international marketing, data and reporting.

Responsibilities
- Updating weekly streaming numbers, sales, and collating chart information from all territories, pulling data from several feeds to give a snapshot of campaigns being worked across the department
- Collating editorial DSP support across all new and active releases worked in the department
- Ad hoc project support including assisting artist campaigns and tasks to help the day-to-day running of the department
- Analysing sales figures of artists worldwide and reporting to senior members of the team, labels and UK management
- Collating and sharing international radio airplay on current campaigns within the department
- Booking travel for artists and staff
- Helping to co-ordinate artist promotion in respect of schedules and travel
- Organising and connecting zoom interviews between artists and international media
- Managing promotion requests and creating clear and concise schedules
- Setting up Play MPE blasts
- Processing department invoices
Requirements
Necessary
- Passionate about music with a desire to progress in the industry
- Interest in, and ability to work with numerical data and analytics
- A desire to work with reports and numbers and add your own thoughts and analysis to the work you are doing
- The ability to multitask and learn quickly
- Proactive, and ability to show initiative with enthusiasm
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – with a great manner
- Highly organised with the ability to keep calm under pressure
- Flexible and able to prioritise own workload
- Good computer skills and the ability to adapt to new system – Outlook, Excel, Google Docs + learning UMG Systems
Desirable
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Experience working in ‘music’ (personal or professional)
- Desire to work within marketing
- Photoshop / Video Editing
