Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Design, Video Games, or relevant field of study with a graduation date between 2025 -2026
  • Must be able to relocate and work on site in Los Angeles, CA
  • Deep experience in interaction, prototyping, and complex design systems
  • Some knowledge in programming languages and frameworks, such as JavaScript/HTML/CSS, WebGL (Three.JS), React, Svelte is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
  • A strong portfolio of 3D work and a passion for interactive data visualization
  • Experience building foundational layout and typographic systems
  • A track record of developing new interaction models for different form factors and interfaces. Mobile work counts!

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of 3D design to develop mock-ups, new interaction models, and navigation schemes in HTML/CSS, JavaScript and Svelte
  • Develop pixel perfect comps and assets for all projects
  • Create and make decisions that implement a design language consistent throughout the Tesla UI platform (in-car, mobile, etc.)
  • Strategically imagine, conceive of, manage, and drive UI design projects from concept to implementation
  • Act as liaison to provide feedback and ensure design integrity of projects between interaction designers, software engineers, and project managers
  • Analyze and interpret recommendations from other business groups in order to prioritize functions and develop a project roadmap with project managers
