Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in Accounting or related area
  • Currently pursuing a degree in STEM, Quantitative Field (CS, Applied Statistics, Operations Research) or Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics (Finance Analytics team)
  • Advanced experience in Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerQuery/Power BI and/or SQL a plus
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience with advanced Excel BI functionality and languages (Power Query (M), PowerPivot (DAX))
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial modeling

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of fixed asset accounting and life cycle
  • Participate in fixed asset annual confirmation
  • Work closely with internal and cross functional teams
  • Assist with process improvement and system automation
  • Control warranty costs, define action plans to tackle potential deviations and predict future costs and recommend potential accrual as necessary
  • Collaborate and liaise with cross functional team members to target warranty reduction. Identify opportunities to reduce warranty costs and support their implementation
  • Maintain phenomenal relationships with Business Partners and Accounting peers to address information reporting needs. Prepare Accounting schedules routinely and as requested for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Document controls, processes and procedures related to warranty and ensure SOX 404 compliance
  • Operational analysis - build automated operational models, conduct ad-hoc analysis, and make recommendations to management
  • Business intelligence - increase data visibility and access for business teams through the creation and curation of data platforms, operational reports, self-service data tools, and managerial dashboards
  • Data engineering - build and manage data pipelines and analytical database architecture
  • Data science - conduct statistical analysis and train machine learning models to inform and control operational decisions.
