What is the expected duration of the internship?
The internship is expected to start around August 2024 and continue through the entire Fall term (i.e., through December 2024) or into Spring 2025 if available. A minimum of 12 weeks of full-time, on-site work is required.
Are there any working hour requirements for this internship?
Yes, interns are required to work 40 hours per week on-site. International students should consult their school regarding their work authorization (CPT) and ability to work full-time.
What teams might applicants be reviewed by?
Applicants may be reviewed by one or more of the following teams: Energy Asset Management, Energy Service Transformation & Analytics, Energy Service Engineering Data Analytics and Infrastructure, and Energy Product Engineer.
What type of technical skills are required for this internship?
Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience, along with strong knowledge of SQL and Python. Experience in building data pipelines using Airflow, working knowledge of Spark, and experience with Git or other source control software are also required. Scala experience is a plus.
What are some specific tasks interns will be responsible for?
Interns will be responsible for deploying data pipelines for analytics, building tools to explore data, automating reporting and data quality checks, performing advanced SQL queries, creating and maintaining analytics dashboards, and supporting deployed pipelines, among other duties.

The expected compensation ranges from $20.00 to $50.00 per hour, plus benefits. The pay offered may vary based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
