Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will be a second or third year Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology student. Specific classes taken should include a mix of the following: SCADA and Communication Systems, Automation and Process Control, Instruments and Basic Circuit Construction, Programmable Controls (PLC), Industrial Systems and Computer and Network Fundamentals. Any experience or interest in electrical wiring, controls, PLC and HMI programming, customer service, and fieldwork is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Duties and responsibilities vary based on level of experience and project expectations. An intern will generally shadow experienced professionals and participate as a member of a team by contributing to actual projects. Interns can apply what they have learned “from the classroom” via experience-based learning.
