What is the expected duration of the internship?
The internship is expected to start around August or September 2025 and continue through the Fall term, ending approximately in December 2025. There is also the possibility of continuing into Winter/Spring 2026 if available.
What is the minimum commitment required for the internship?
We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
Are international students eligible to apply for this internship?
Yes, international students can apply, but they should consult their school regarding their ability to work 40 hours per week on CPT before applying.
What degree programs are preferred for applicants?
Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Systems, or a related field with a graduation date between December 2025 and December 2026.
What programming languages should applicants be proficient in?
Applicants should have proficiency in C and comprehension of Python.
Is experience with real-time operating systems necessary?
Yes, experience with real-time operating system development is required.
What kind of testing and debugging experience is needed?
Candidates should have experience with testing, debugging, and working directly with hardware.
What are the job responsibilities during the internship?
Responsibilities include delivering high-quality C code, designing software architecture, performing system debugging and code optimization, and developing unit and component level tests.
