When does this internship start and how long does it last?
This internship is expected to start in May 2025 and continue through the entire Summer term, which typically lasts until August 2025. If available, it may extend into Fall 2025.

We require a minimum commitment of 12 weeks, working full-time at 40 hours per week, and the position is on-site.

Responsibilities include contributing to the development of real-time energy management solutions, developing production-level optimization algorithms, enhancing battery forecasting models, implementing and evaluating algorithm performance, developing control algorithms, collaborating on customer-facing features, and applying machine learning techniques.
What educational background is preferred for applicants?
Applicants are expected to be pursuing an advanced degree in a relevant program such as Computer Science, Energy System Optimization, Operations Research, Data Science, or Power Systems Economics.
What programming skills are required for this role?
Proficiency in several programming languages is required, with a preference for Python, as well as familiarity with Linux environments and version control systems like Git.
Is experience with big data systems necessary for this internship?
Yes, experience with big data systems such as Spark, Airflow, or AWS is required.
What optimization and machine learning knowledge should applicants have?
