Requirements

  • Currently pursuing bachelors degree with an emphasis in the Logistics field
  • Great team player and communicator: Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Eagerness to collaborate cross-functionally while able to work independently; detail-oriented and execution focused
  • Able to learn quickly, and a passion for moving fast and building great things
  • Other Job Requirements:
  • Expertise in Object-Oriented Design and development principles (e.g. XML, JSON)
  • Exposure and good knowledge of front-end design & development
  • Exposure to or familiarity with Java, API
  • Exposure to or familiarity with web application design and development, data management and analytics.
  • Make recommendations as to feasibility of implementation of modified or new technologies and/or frameworks
  • Participate in scrum agile development process
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pursuing bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Material Management, Industrial, or Logistics
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
  • Good leadership and decision-making skills
  • Good grasp of fundamental computer science concepts and ability to write well-organized code. High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a motivated and team-oriented software engineering intern to be an integral member on the development of current and upcoming projects and enhancements to Fluor’s flagship supply chain analytics portal. You’ll build experience in developing enterprise applications and will use cutting-edge front-end frameworks such as Angular.
  • Your work will entail Agile, User-Centric application development gaining experience in working with backend services and API development using Java Spring Boot, REST JSON, RDBMS database (MS SQL Server), and HTML 5, CSS 3 and Angular primarily supporting expansion of supply chain analytics portal.
