What are the program dates for the internship?
The Summer 2025 Program Dates are approximately from June 2025 to August 2025.
What are the primary responsibilities of the intern?
The intern will create 3D models, rig and animate ride systems, output scene studies as animatics, assist with future attractions, participate in brainstorming sessions, and more.
What are the educational requirements for this internship?
Applicants must be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at an accredited institution, with a current class standing of Senior or above, and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
Is a portfolio required to apply for this internship?
Yes, a portfolio showcasing examples of mechanical and organic 3D modeling, texture mapping, and theatrical lighting is required.
Where is the internship located?
This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
Do you provide housing for interns?
No, Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
Will interns receive compensation for the internship?
Yes, all internships are paid, and you may be eligible for financial assistance toward housing if applicable.
What software proficiency is required for this position?
Proficiency with 3D Studio Max or Maya is required, along with efficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Are recent graduates eligible to apply for this internship?
No, recent graduates are not eligible for this program; applicants must be currently pursuing a degree.
