Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors include: Fine Art, Illustration, Entertainment Design, Product Design, Environment Design, Experience and Production Design.
  • Required skills with drawing and 2D illustration, color illustration, Photoshop, 3d block-out and rendering.
  • Skills in grasp of quick ideation in sketch form (2d or 3d) preferred.
  • Understanding of staging, how it relates to composition and guest sightlines preferred.
  • Understanding of general architecture as well as guest accessible features (i.e., doors and windows) and their contextual scale preferred.
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and openness to feedback.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Independently sketches and illustrates work on a Cintiq at their desk.
  • Creates assets to support several projects as well as the overall concept design team.
  • Attends regular project-related meetings to understand the larger project parameters.
  • Attends departmental meetings to gain an understanding of the concept design team overall.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
