Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors include: Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Business Management, Event Management.
  • Additional information:
  • Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:
  • Familiarity with graphic design, Canva and/or SharePoint design preferred.
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute ideas and initiatives to enhance employee engagement through events.
  • Assists with events like Remarkable Celebration, HR Strategy Meetings, Team Member Appreciation Week, Earth Day, and Spring DEI activations for Lunar New Year, International Women’s Day, and more. Ensuring events align with the organization’s culture and values.
  • Manage event registrations, RSVPs, and attendance tracking.
  • Assist with participant communication, providing information about event details and logistics.
  • Supports the team on programs such as global mentoring, orientation, and pathfinder programs.
  • Helps flourish partnerships, such as confirming speakers, organizing presentations, and day-of logistics for the University of Central Florida Creative Lab.
  • Participates in HR related training and development activities, learning about HR practices and strategies.
  • Assists with support and planning of UC Team Member Experience partnership recruitment conferences and job fairs events..
  • Verbal and/or graphics content to support events and programs.
  • Update and upload Team Member Experiences Resources SharePoint site.
  • Participate in meetings and assist with special projects.
  • Recommend and create SOPs to improve department efficiency and overall functionality.
  • Gain exposure to departments within HR through collaboration and departmental partnerships to learn about our organization.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Universal Creative is the research and development group responsible for designing rides and attractions for Universal Parks & Resorts theme parks. It is Universal's equivalent of Walt Disney Imagineering. From 1968 until 1997, Universal Creative was known as MCA Planning and Development.
